Season 4, Episode 18: Glow Stick Party Ideas, DIY Junk Journals & Rubber Band Launchers

We’re getting our creative juices flowing this week on The Happi House. Grab a cup of coffee and get ready to learn some new, festive ways to use everyone’s favorite Fourth of July party prop: the glow stick! Happi and her friend Peggy will show you how to plan a whole party around them or how you can use just a couple on any old day to bring out some smiles. Then, Happi is sitting down with our friend, and local MYTALK radio show host, Alexis Thompson. One of Alexis’ many talents is making junk journals. Don’t know what one is? Let us fill you in! You’ll love seeing how to make one and personalize it so it’s like no other. And finally, Happi is in the “lab” with a couple of small science friends. Divia, Kirin and our host Happi Olson, are learning from Liz Heinecke, The Kitchen Pantry Scientist, how to make rubber band launchers. Watch the rubber bands fly as your kids learn about elastic and kinetic energy. Science + crafting = FUN!
