Welcome back to The Happi House! This week is all about quick and easy ways to make life more fun, whether it’s trying out a simple but flavorful new recipe or creating your own pretty accessory in a pinch. First, get ready to beef up your weekday family dinner routine. Happi and her friend Peggy walk you through an easy recipe for beef and rice bowls, which are made in a pressure cooker and can be customized with toppings of your choice. Next, Happi gets together with local MYTALK radio show host Alexis Thompson to do one of her favorite crafts. Get into the spirit of summer and transform laminated photos or prints into flower pins for a fun new accessory. And finally, Happi heads to the “lab” with little scientists Divia and Kirin and Liz Heinecke, The Kitchen Pantry Scientist, to learn the art (and science!) of paper marbling. A quick lesson in density turns into a colorful project, and the finished product can be used for bookmarks, cards and more. Come get crafty with us!
